Hi, I'm Nicholas and I'm the Sports Ambassador. I write about UK football, hockey and wrestling. I'm also a huge foodie so I share my honest thoughts on an array of different culinary delights from burgers and fries to donuts and wings.



I've lived in Ottawa most of my life except when I lived in England. I have always been a fan of hockey. Since is Ottawa is my home, I fell in love with the Ottawa Senators.

I moved to London, England when I was 18 years old. That's when my love of UK football began. Liverpool became my favourite team. I watched the games from home on the television and I also often went to the stadium to watch in person with my dad and my friends.



In London, I got the opportunity to see a promotional basketball game of the Toronto Raptors. The mascot came up to pose with me.




While I was in London, I starting watching wrestling on television and after I moved back to Canada, I got to see a wrestling match in person in Ottawa.  It was my first time attending a WWE event.  I got the opportunity to go backstage and meet Randy Orton.



One of my favourite memories was going to Senators games with Tom. One of my friends painted both of our faces so that we could have team spirit.

My goal of running this site is to share my love of sports and to educate people about UK football, hockey and wrestling. My trusty backpack is my lifeline that goes with me on every sporting and culinary adventure.

EURO 2020 Matches

  I’ve been following the EURO 2020.  Over the last two days I’ve watched the following 4 matches. Monday at noon Spain beat Croatia 5:3 in overtime. Monday at 3pm Switzerland beat France 5:4 in overtime. Tuesday at noon England beat Germany a nail bitting 2:0.  England is my team. Tuesday at 3pm Ukraine beat Sweden 2:1 in overtime. My MVP on the England squad is Declan Rice from West Ham. I’ll be rooting for England in the England vs Ukraine match on Saturday July 3 at 3pm.

Interviewing Former NHLer and Ottawa Native, Blake Dunlop

Interview with Blake Dunlop Last week I had the pleasure of interviewing Blake Dunlop. Recognize the name? If not, here’s some info about him.  Blake Dunlop was born in 1953 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He grew up in the Ottawa area. Blake was an outstanding hockey player, he played four season with the Ottawa 67’s, leading the league in points in the 1972-73 season. In the 1973 NHL draft, he was picked 18th overall by the Minnesota North Stars. After being traded the the St. Louis Blues in 1979, Blake started to experience his most successful NHL years. After five great years with the Blues, Blake was traded to the Detroit Red Wings, where he would retire after one season with them in 1984. Throughout his career Blake played 550 NHL games, getting 130 goals  and 274 assist for an impressive 404 career NHL points.  I’d like to thank Blake for taking the time to answer these question for me, it is greatly appreciated. 2021-2022 Hockey Season

  Hi Everybody, Good news! The 2021-2022 hockey season is ON for the Sens! Starting with the home opener against Toronto  on October 14th  and stretching for a full 82 regular season games against all 31 league teams. 29 of these games are at home, I’ll be there, will you? Hopefully, those 82 games will just be the start - I want to see them in the playoffs this year too. With new draft picks Tyler Boucher, Zack Ostapchuk, Ben Roger, Oliver Johansson, Carson Latimer and Chandler Romeo the old lines have been shaken up and I’m hoping to see some fresh plays.  The number 10 pick Tyler Boucher - a right wing player coming from the US national team development. At 6’1 and 201lbs Tyler is a powerful player - and based on his 2020/21 season, he can score.  The number 39 pick, Zack Ostapchuck - a centre player who is coming up from the WHL.  He’s a young kid, but I’m excited to see what he can do.  The number 49 pick, Ben Roger  - a defensive p...
